Zuma is looking for a Head of Sales with 10+ years of experience selling in the multifamily industry. We are building out our Outside Sales team and seeking an individual who is excited by the opportunity to build a sales and account management team from the ground up. Reporting directly to the CEO, the Head of Sales will be responsible for hitting revenue targets for 2023 and beyond. In doing so, they will need to run both strategy (creating and maintaining a sales plan to hit targets) and execution (closing deals him/herself and making the necessary hires to hit targets).

What you’ll do as part of the team:

  • Land and expand: build process and funnel for manual top-down reach out, onboarding, activation, and expansion
  • Evangelize the product and personally help close the largest deals
  • Work collaboratively across teams - including Engineering, Product and Marketing
  • Establish the inbound lead requirements needed to meet your sales objectives
  • Provide complete visibility into the sales pipeline at every stage of development
  • Take charge of recruiting and hiring sales staff
  • Ensure the sales team hits quota
  • Communicate and foster relationships with clients by attending various industry events

Here are the skills and experience you’ll need to be successful:

  • Proven ability in building a sales org that sells to the multifamily industry from 3 to 10+ reps and have previously grown ARR 4X YoY
  • At least 10+ years of relevant work experience within the multifamily industry
  • Excited for outside sales with 50% travel (in-market + out-of-market
  • You are: competitive and have a track record of success, agile and embrace change, ambitious and don’t take no for an answer, and determined to overcome obstacles
  • You are: a motivated self-starter who loves bringing new ideas to the table, a team player that leads by example
  • You have high energy: fun, happy, optimistic, entrepreneurial and have fantastic phone skills
